  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Tele Floor Manager for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 full years of experience as a Tele Floor Manager.
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
    • Active California nursing license.
    • Travel experience is preferred.
    • Positive attitude, compassionate heart.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts, 7am-7:30pm, 7pm-7:30am, no block scheduling.
      • Shifts include day and night rotations.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Ratios: Typically 1 nurse to 4 patients.
        • Charge Nurse will not take a patient assignment.
        • Nurse Aides provided, with typically 2 on days and one for nights depending on census.
        • Orientation includes 1 shift on home unit, plus additional orientation on other units.
        • Requires floating to 3North, 2 South, or to SJPVH to work in tele or medsurg units, and possibly floating to ER for MS/Tele holds.
          • Additional Details
          • 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule required.
          • Holidays: Requires working one major and one minor holiday.
          • Uniform scrub color: Navy.
          • Travelers must have experience with drips, experience with chest tubes preferred.
          • Pharmacy services available 24/7.
          • Nurses responsible for reading EKG strips.
          • Patients with high acuity; common diagnoses include pneumonia, end-stage renal disease, post-cath lab recovery, respiratory distress, CHF, COPD.
